The makers of the movie have submitted the three application which includes the latest 3D one, to the Censor Board. A formal decision on the second application is still pending with the board. Our clock has stopped now, we are just waiting and waiting. Historians are divided over whether Padmini actually existed.
Senior advocate Harish Salve, appearing for the producer, said there were no plans for a release overseas without CBFC clearance. "If the court cannot pre-judge (a film), we are surprised how anybody else can pre-judge the film under the law", Justice Misra observed.
Taking exception to some portions of Sharma's petition, the court said it was "unwarranted and scurrilous".
