Alison Ettel, a white woman in San Francisco, has received the wrath of the internet after pretending to call the police on 8-year-old Jordan Rodgers.
"This woman don't want a little girl to sell some water, she's calling the police on an 8-year-old little girl", the mother said.
Austin's cousin, Raje Lee, who posted about the incident on Twitter said her cousin was gifted four tickets to Disneyland by a man who heard about the story.
She said that she snapped because the girl's mother had been screaming for "hours" for people to 'come and buy water'.
Caught off guard when Ettel approached 8-year-old Jordan for a permit, Austin told the blog that she intervened. She said she only ducked down behind a wall to "find a quiet place where I could hear" a security guard she was talking to. The girl's mother captured the incident on Instagram.
"I tried to be polite, but I was stern", Ettel said.
She also told the newspaper that she only pretended to call police. "So I said, 'Ok, call the cops.' And she did".
The online firestorm has also come down upon the company Ettel runs, TreatWell, which makes cannabis tinctures for cats and dogs.
