Trump should have written that the media "pore" over his tweets, which means 'to read or study attentively - usually used with over'.
Needless to say, Twitter had an absolute field day with the typo, with Harry Potter author J.K Rowling just one of many who gleefully pointed out the mistake.
Merriam-Webster's Twitter account also mocked the president, pointing out the grammatical difference between the words.
The Harry Potter author responded to the Tweet with unending laughs.
