  • Ed Shultz Cause of Death: How Did MSNBC Broadcaster Die?

Ed Schultz, the veteran broadcaster from Norfolk, has died at age 64.

"We at RT America are sad to announce the passing of Edward Andrew Schultz", the channel said in a statement. He had a change of heart in the 2000s and moved on to host a commentary show for MSNBC, "The Ed Show", in 2009 until mid-2015 when he was let go for soft ratings.

Listeners and colleagues had kind things to say about Schultz on Twitter. "The Ed Schultz Show" ran for a decade and billed itself as the progressive answer to conservative radio show host Rush Limbaugh.

Schultz began his broadcasting career as a sportscaster, working for a series of local Fargo, N.D.
