England captain Harry Kane said his team were "buzzing" and full of confidence as they reached their first World Cup semi-final since 1990 after seeing off Sweden 2-0 on Saturday.

David Beckham and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have plenty riding on the World Cup quarter-final between England and Sweden.

"We're buzzing. It's probably not sunk in", Kane said. "We're hugely ambitious and want to do that, but we know there's nothing in our mind other than tomorrow's game".

"But we just want to keep improving as a team of coaches, as a team of staff, a team of players".

"We don't have renowned, world-class players yet but we've got lots of good young players who are showing on the young stage that they can be courageous on the ball, try and play the right way, have shown some mental resilience. He completed what we'd hoped he would today but slightly separate to the team", Southgate said.

"This team is the same, you only have to look at their results".
