Heather Locklear, who's had a rough year in terms of her sobriety, shared an honest message about her battles.
The former Melrose Place star paid tribute to a friend she has lost in an emotional Instagram message on September 19, writing, "Addiction is ferocious and will try to take you down". Recovery is the best revenge.
"Be kind to everyone you meet, your light just might change their path", she continued.

Aside from being a tribute to her dead pal, it was a look into Heather's own thoughts while dealing with addiction.
The star has been involved in a number of scandals this past year and they involved the police.
