The South Sydney Rabbitohs star was pulled over by police and allegedly returned a 0.085 blood alcohol reading just hours after being named the captain of the Kangaroos.

Inglis explained that he had been drinking on Sunday night and did not leave his hotel to start his drive back to Sydney until around midday yesterday, when he thought he would be OK to drive.
"Inglis has unequivocally and unreservedly apologised, and taken full responsibility, for the incident", the Rabbitohs' statement said.
At a news conference, Inglis was remorseful but said he did not intend to resign the captaincy.
"Once again, I am very sorry".
Inglis was reportedly driving to Sydney after attending the Koori Knockout tournament in Dubbo when he was pulled over for speeding outside of Lithgow.

Daley said the charge would likely spell the end of Inglis's tenure as Kangaroos captain before it had even begun.
