He makes no secret of preferring a diet of red meat, fast food and candies.

Jackson a year ago concluded that Trump was in "excellent health" despite his physical exam that time showing him borderline obese and his "bad cholesterol" levels rising.

According to White House staffers, besides an incremental uptick in the amount of fish the President has consumed, he has largely adhered to his lifestyle of fast food and little exercise.

President Donald Trump's annual physical is set for Friday, when the American public will see if he followed the doctor's orders from a year ago. He is not known to exercise beyond his beloved rounds of golf.

Trump, 72, doesn't drink alcohol or smoke, but he's not a big fan of the gym either. Last month, he invited the college football champion Clemson Tigers to the White House during the partial government shutdown. He was seen eating steak, French fries and shrimp at his Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C., and apparently ordered steak to be delivered to him at the White House. He specified that the president was not under sedation or anesthesia at any point during the exam.

After Trump's first exam as president, Dr. Ronny Jackson, a Navy rear admiral, declared Trump to be in "excellent health." Jackson denied the allegations but eventually withdrew his nomination.

Adm. Ronny Jackson, Trump's physician previous year, said while Trump was "more enthusiastic about the diet part than the exercise part. we're going to do both". He will advise the president on topics including veterans' issues, the opioid crisis and health issues at the U.S. -Mexico border.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders did not detail last week whether a similar long-form briefing on the results of the physical exam would take place again. Doctors checked his eyes, ears, nose and throat, heart, lungs, gastrointestinal tract, skin, and teeth.
