State media did not mention Kim's candidate registration before or after the elections.
North Korea's parliamentary election is used by Pyongyang to legitimise its rule, but is condemned internationally as a meaningless exercise.
One name notably absent from the ballot was that of North Korea's chairman Kim Jong Un, according to the BBC.
The results of the election were never in any doubt - each ballot.
This year's turnout fell a tiny fraction short of 100% as those "abroad or working in oceans" were unable to take part, the North's official KCNA news agency reported.
As expected, every single vote cast in the election - just like in the 2014 election - was said to be in support of the named candidates.

Voting in last Sunday's election was mandatory for all North Korean citizens above the age of 17, even though there was no choice of candidates.
The so-called voters had to pick from just one state-sanctioned candidate per seat and were able to cast their ballots only to show their support for the candidate rather than actually select a victor.

Mr Kim was returned to the 14th Supreme People's Assembly from his Mount Paektu constituency and will be joined in the nation's parliament by his sister, Kim Yo-jong, the Korean Central News Agency reported. North Korea's ruling Workers' Party won re-election to maintain control of the country's Supreme People's Assembly, with 99.99 percent voter turnout.
Kim's powerful younger sister Kim Yo Jong was elected to the Fifth Kalma Constituency and Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho was elected to the 371st Unha Constituency. "In most democratic countries, the president doesn't concurrently have a seat in the parliament", she explained, adding that Kim's absence from voting slips does not signal that he is losing his grip on power. The South Korean media report hasn't yet been confirmed by neither Pyongyang, not North's state media.
"All the people have to fully display through the election the invincibility and might of the DPRK advancing by dint of the single-minded unity".
