As Tranmere Rovers overcame Forest Green Rovers to reach the League Two play-off final, the television cameras captured the jubilant Dean, standing on a barrier, leading the party, punching the air in delight.

Dean was part of the travelling contingent of Tranmere fans for the second leg of their League Two playoff semi-final clash against Forest Green.

He was seen singing along with fans as the Merseyside outfit battled to maintain the 1-0 advantage which they secured at home in the first leg.

The away side found the ideal response thanks to striker James Norwood who confidently bagged his 30th league goal of the season to send Tranmere to the Wembley final.

Dean watched his beloved Tranmere from the away end at The New Lawn as Rovers progressed 2-1 on aggregate, and was visibly animated in the terrace at the full-time whistle.

Premier League referee and all-round entertainer Mike Dean gave the world further reason to adore him last night after he was spotted celebrating like he'd just scored the victor in a World Cup final.

"Is Tranmere Ultras top boy". In short, when Mike Dean is refereeing he seems to have an innate ability to find the camera.

Dean hit the headlines earlier this season when he brandished his 100th red card in the Premier League.

It took until April 14 of that campaign to dish out his first red card, sending off Newcastle's Nolberto Solano for handball in the Magpies' match against Ipswich.
