Lowry expects family support to help him fathom his achievement, although his grandmother is now a star in her own right after revealing she had allowed herself a brandy for the first time in ten years.

The victory party continued on Monday in The Boar's Head pub in Dublin and does not look like coming to a stop any time soon with Lowry not playing in this week's World Golf Championship event in Memphis.
