Two more victims of the United States mass shooting at a crowded Walmart in El Paso, Texas, died Monday at a hospital, raising the death toll for the attack to 22.

A makeshift memorial with candles and other items continues to grow in front of the scene.

In Dayton, a gunman killed nine people before he was fatally shot by police outside a bar in the city's popular Oregon District.

From there, Obama seems to call out President Trump without naming him directly, saying Americans must "reject language coming out of the mouths of any of our leaders that feeds a climate of fear and hatred or normalizes racist sentiments", as well as "leaders who demonize those who don't look like us, or suggest that other people, including immigrants, threaten our way of life".

A 21-year-old white supremacist is suspected of killing at least 20 people and injuring 26 others in the shooting - one of at least three to devastate residents across the United States in the past week.

The man suspected of shooting dozens of people in El Paso, Texas, says he has been unemployed for five months.

Authorities have cited a lengthy anti-immigrant manifesto, apparently posted online by the suspect before the Saturday morning shooting in the heavily Hispanic border city, which they said was evidence the bloodshed was racially motivated.

Separately, federal authorities will seek charges as it will be ruled as a case of domestic terrorism, which would also bear the death penalty.

The agency said it remains concerned that more US -based extremists could become inspired by these and previous high-profile attacks to engage in similar acts of violence.

Trump has frequently derided many asylum seekers and other immigrants coming across the USA southern border as liars and criminals.

The announcement of their deaths came shortly after President Donald Trump condemned the weekend shootings in El Paso and Dayton, Ohio, and called for a bipartisan response to gun violence. Police Sgt. Robert Gomez said most of the victims were inside the store.
