Former Bears running back Cedric Benson has passed away. Per the American-Statesman, both Benson and a passenger were killed and two other adults were injured in the crash but suffered non-fatal injuries.

Benson's brother shared the news of his passing on Facebook on Sunday morning.

Benson, 36, was reportedly one of two people who died in a motorcycle accident Saturday night in Austin.

Benson was an incredible athlete - he racked up more than 5,500 yards at Texas and won the Doak Walker Award (top running back in the country) his senior year. He was selected fourth overall in the 2005 National Football League draft out of the University of Texas.
