  • Two new Jeffrey Epstein accusers file $100 million lawsuit against pedophile’s estate and alleged recruiter

Jeffrey Epstein's last days were filled with lawyers, vermin, and vending machines in a badly understaffed Manhattan jail, the New York Times reports.

He pleaded not guilty to the charges, which carried a maximum sentence of 45 years in convicted.

The medical examiner was waiting on toxicology results and other reports from federal investigators before announcing their thoughts on Epstein's cause of death.

"It is indisputable that the authorities violated their own protocols", the lawyers said, decrying the "harsh, even medieval conditions" at the facility.

Weeks prior to his death, Epstein was found on the floor of his cell with marks on his neck in what was called an apparent suicide attempt.

On July 23, Epstein was found unconscious in his cell, the Metropolitan Correctional Center, with injuries to his neck, and been placed on suicide watch, but then removed from regular observation.

While the witness was there, he reportedly did not see Epstein's main lawyer, Reid Weingarten, or other named attorneys visiting him. President Donald Trump himself joined in, retweeting an unsubstantiated claim suggesting that former president Bill Clinton was somehow responsible for Epstein's death.

They have all strenuously denied the allegations.

Prosecutors have pledged to pursue cases against anyone else involved in Epstein's alleged crimes.

Several women have also come forward seeking damages.

Two new accusers are filing a lawsuit against Jeffrey Epstein's multi-million dollar estate, according to The Daily News.

Epstein was accused of sex-trafficking girls as young as 14 years old, PEOPLE confirmed in July, and was considered a flight risk and danger to the community by U.S. District Judge Richard Berman, who ordered that Epstein remain behind bars pending trial.

Maxwell's whereabouts are unknown but she was recently photographed at a restaurant in Los Angeles, according to United States reports. "I am deeply sorry to the survivors, to the Media Lab, and to the MIT community for bringing such a person into our network", Joi Ito said in a statement posted to the Media Lab website and titled "My apology regarding Jeffrey Epstein".

The scene showed barbed wire, prison offers with Epstein in the middle, as a reminder of the fate that could await him if he was not "careful", according to the newspaper.
