Love Island victor Amber Gill has said she "wasn't expecting" her split from fellow champion Greg O'Shea, telling ITV's Loose Women that she had "wanted to make it work".
On The Late Late Show on Friday, however, Greg insisted he did not end things by text.
Greg has started that the split was mutual but according to Amber, that wasn't the case.
"Greg has broken up with Amber and is blaming their busy schedules and now they want to focus on their careers". He's trying to get to the Olympics with the Sevens team this year. "So we're kind of just being realistic about the situation and protecting our careers and that's where we are at the moment". "I wasn't expecting that at all".
"I was due to fly to Dublin and spend the weekend with him and go on a TV show together".
Appearing as a customer panellist on "Unfastened Females" on Monday, she acknowledged: "From my level of gape I still desired to present it work".
The beautician said that Greg cited their "careers and distance" as factors in the breakdown of the marriage.

She extra: "I am disappointed but I'm over it and I am booked and I am hectic".
'She just needs time to herself right now but you know what she's such a strong independent women she'll be absolutely fine'.
"She lives in the United Kingdom, every mark desires to work along with her, every tournament wants her there, obviously she deserves all of it and I made a decision to attain encourage encourage to Eire and form my part right here".

Gill confirmed on Loose Women that her relationship was ended over text, after she had asked O'Shea to make more effort.
"We were texting each other".
