Chapter Two is a heartbreaking masterpiece

"It" fans will be pleased by this loyalty to the printed word, but general audiences are much more likely to lose patience with the excessive runtime - especially when the more complicated and fantastical elements of King's story are introduced with little explanation or context for newcomers. There's plenty to admire, but its individual segments are better than its whole. While It: Chapter Two isn't exactly "bad", the movie struggles to wrangle the source material and ultimately suffers because of it. Mike Hanlon (Isaiah Mustafa) is the lone member of the Losers' Club (all of whom we met as a children in the first movie) to remain in Derry into adulthood. In the film, when the characters are called back to Derry, they all are visibly shaken, with Richie even getting actually sick. The "It: Chapter Two" star appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to promote the film on Monday. But there are elements of substance to its somewhat messy presentation.

The fictional town of Derry, Maine, also has an atmosphere that makes you sick the more you read about it. As such, these characters are forced to confront their dark pasts both directly and suddenly. Those scenes are accompanied by the terrifying gore and horror that are sure to give nightmares to the kids, and even adults, who watched it.

If Chapter One had flashes of the adult cast while we were spending time with the children, maybe we'd have more of a connection to their adult counterparts-but as it stands, every time Chapter Two flashes back to the kids, we have way more of an emotional response to the horror. Eddie Kaspbrak (James Ransone) is still a vulgar "momma's boy". But, much like Finn Wolfhard before him, Bill Hader steals the show as Ritchie. This movie has a similar problem, but a stranger one: This one's nostalgic for the first movie.

With this in mind, I was very hesitant to review IT Chapter Two. The Body (aka Stand by Me) is a ideal example, and even earlier works like Carrie have that coming-of-age undercurrent.

"I think it's a good thing", he affirmed.

The AAIB said the small size of cups used by Condor "generally discouraged" use of the holders as it was hard to grasp them. The AAIB report adds: "The operator also issued a flight crew notice reminding pilots to be careful with liquids".

I was six years old when I realised clowns were terrifying. The film also has its controversial moments and is genuinely disturbing at times, so prepare yourself if you plan to see this on the big screen. The first film had its fair share of laughs too, and this film does have a few chuckles, but it knew when to put them away so as not to undercut the horror, which this film is sadly guilty of doing. Bill (James McAvoy) has grown up to be a horror writer not unlike Stephen King.

After a solid start, the movie becomes performers running around from set piece to set piece, setting the table for some CGI scares mixed with the occasional practical effects. There's a difference between being startled and being scared.

There's a lot of whining out there about this film's running time, as it clocks in at 2 hours 48 minutes.

What I will say is that the two recent films are fantastic for everything other than It itself. This scene is the best crafted suspense in the film, but because of its status as a franchise film and the resulting marketing, it is spoiled. But they still have plenty of secret fears for Pennywise to exploit.
