13.500 manifestants à Paris, selon le cabinet Occurrence — Marche contre l'islamophobie

La marche contre l'islamophobie a rassemblé 13.500 personnes dimanche à Paris, selon un comptage réalisé par le cabinet Occurence pour un collectif de médias, dont l'AFP.

La manifestation s'est déroulée suite à l'appel de plusieurs personnalités et organisations comme le Nouvel parti anticapitaliste ou encore le Collectif contre l'islamophobie en France.

Des manifestations devaient également avoir lieu à Marseille et Toulouse.

Les manifestants ont brandi des banderoles où on pouvait lire notamment " oui à la critique de la religion non à la haine du musulmans", " Halte à l'islamophobie", " La cohabitation est une nécessité", au milieu d'une multitude de drapeaux français. Les organisateurs parlent même de plus de 40 000 manifestants, se félicitant du succès de leur appel malgré les nombreuses attaques.

"Solidarité avec les femmes voilées", ont scandé des participants.

Depuis l'appel à manifester, la classe politique se déchire au sujet de ce rassemblement. "On essaie de stigmatiser les musulmans, de les mettre à l'écart de la société", a estimé cette ingénieure dans l'automobile.

Mais dans le cortège parisien, plusieurs élus de la France insoumise (Clémentine Autain, Danièle Obono, Eric Coquerel.) étaient bien présents au côté de leur chef de file Jean-Luc Mélenchon, qui a appelé avant le départ de la marche à ne pas "confondre quelques personnes avec la valeur de la cause qui est servie". Certains ont relativisé leur soutien initial, comme l'eurodéputé EELV Yannick Jadot et le député LFI François Ruffin.

Plusieurs membres du gouvernement se sont indignés de ce rassemblement, qualifié "d'insupportable" par le secrétaire d'Etat en charge de la Jeunesse Gabriel Attal dimanche sur Europe 1. "Vous avez dans cette manifestation, pas seulement avec ceux qui vont aller dans la rue, mais aussi ceux qui ont signé l'appel à manifester, des gens qui incarnent le communautarisme islamiste", a-t-il déclaré".
