  • Epstein Accuser Giuffre Recalls 'Scary Time in My Life'

Virginia Giuffre, the woman who has accused Jeffrey Epstein of sex trafficking her and Prince Andrew of sexually abusing her, in her first United Kingdom interview recalled the "really scary time in my life".

What's abundantly clear is that even those closest to Andrew have lost faith in him, and interviews like the one Giuffre has done with BBC Panorama will do nothing to ease that pressure.

"He knows what happened, I know what happened, and there's only one of us telling the truth", Giuffre, who claims Epstein made her have sex with the prince three times, says in the teaser.

"Of course, I am willing to help any appropriate law enforcement agency with their investigations, if required", he said when he stepped down from his royal duties earlier this month.

Buckingham Palace is bracing for a fresh round of painful headlines following the Prince Andrew saga, as Scotland Yard confirms it is working with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and an explosive television interview is set to air.

It follows Andrew's attempt to defend himself against Ms Giuffre's accusations and explain his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein during an interview on BBC's Newsnight which was branded a "car crash".

WIF's financial officer Sarajit Mitra accepted any link with the Prince could now tarnish WIF's reputation in India and said the board would be meeting to discuss cutting ties.

Ms Giuffre has criticised the Metropolitan Police for failing to investigate her allegations.

Ms Giuffre (left) has claimed in court papers in Florida that she was forced to have sex with Andrew when she was aged 17, under the state's age of consent.

The force said it stands by its decision that it was "not the appropriate authority" to investigate the American woman's claims.

As the story dominated British news for a week, overshadowing campaigning for the December 12 election, there has been widespread criticism of Andrew and demands he should answer questions from USA authorities about Epstein.

He said the decision was reviewed after Epstein's death and police decided not to change policy. "It related to events outside of the United Kingdom and an allegation of trafficking to central London in March 2001", United Kingdom police said in a statement.

The image caused scandalous headlines for the royal family when it first surfaced in 2015, along with serious allegations of sexual misconduct.
