Villegats (16) : des adolescents sauvent des flammes un couple d’octogénaires

Les faits se sont déroulés dans la nuit de lundi à mardi à Villegats, près de Ruffec, selon la gendarmerie et les secours. Cette nuit-là, un incendie se déclare dans leur maison pendant leur sommeil.

À Villegats, en Charente, trois adolescents ont sauvé la vie d'un couple d'octogénaires de leur maison en proie aux flammes.

Les trois jeunes participaient à une soirée d'anniversaire, dans la salle des fêtes du village, lorsque le drame s'est déclenché.

Sans attendre l'arrivée des secours, ils ont extrait une femme et son mari paralysé de la maison en flammes. Le couple d'octogénaires dormait à l'étage et n'avait vraisemblablement rien entendu.

Ni les jeunes gens, ni le couple d'octogénaires, qui a trouvé refuge chez des membres de sa famille, n'ont été blessés.

Le système de chauffage défectueux situé dans la grange pourrait être à l'origine de l'incendie, rapporte "Sud Ouest".
