Un premier décès aux États-Unis — Coronavirus

Une personne diagnostiquée au coronavirus dans l'État de Washington (Nord-ouest), est décédée samedi, ont indiqué les responsables de la santé, devenant le premier décès aux Etats-Unis depuis l'annonce de la première infection dans le pays.

Il s'agit du premier décès dû au coronavirus aux États-Unis.

Le président Trump a annoncé qu'il rencontrerait lundi des représentants des grands groupes pharmaceutiques pour évoquer la gestion de l'épidémie de coronavirus, qui a provoqué un premier décès sur le territoire américain.

Selon un décompte établi par NPR (National Public Radio), ces nouveaux cas portent à plus de 60 le nombre total de cas confirmés aux États-Unis, bien que 44 de ces cas aient été enregistrés à bord du navire de croisière Diamond Princess et que trois autres cas concernent des personnes ramenées de Wuhan, en Chine, où l'épidémie mondiale a commencé.

Le président Donald Trump s'exprimait en début d'après-midi devant la presse, notamment sur les derniers développements liés au coronavirus.
