32 fresh cases were recently reported from Maharashtra which brought up the total number of positive cases to 107 in India. The World Health Organization has declared the outbreak a pandemic, meaning it has spread worldwide and affected huge number of people. According to reports, while one case has been confirmed in Kalaburgi, another one has been reported in Bengaluru.

COVID-19 extended its footprint in India on Monday with the eastern state of Odisha reporting its first coronavirus patient and one new case each in Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir, and Kerala, taking the total count to 114, Health Ministry officials said.

Rajasthan has also reported four cases including that of two foreigners.

Two patients who tested positive for the virus are now dead.

India, a country of 1.3 billion people, has so far fared better than elsewhere in Asia, Europe and North America, with only two deaths because of the virus. The following day a 69-year old woman in Delhi, who tested positive for the virus, also passed away.

Now the world ticker for confirmed Coronavirus cases is 173,171. After an advisory issued by the government, Chief Justice of India held a meeting with stake holders and made a decision to avoid gatherings that are considered unsafe.
