  • Coronavirus travel ban PM bans Australians from leaving the country

Unlikely to deteriorate quickly.

Non-urgent elective surgeries in Australia's public and private hospitals will be banned from midnight in a bid to preserve the healthcare system to respond to the coronavirus pandemic. "Where possible the National Cabinet together is going to try and keep Australia functioning in a way that continues to support jobs and activity in our economy which is not going to compromise the health advice that we're receiving".

"The medical expert advice on schools has not changed".

Following a meeting with state and territory leaders, Morrison said previous "do-not-travel" warning issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade will turn into a ban from Wednesday.

Boot camps and personal training sessions are limited to a maximum of 10 people with strict social distancing rules observed. "They can't do it, because when they come home that's when they put Australians at risk" said Morrison during the press conference.

"We can not have people queuing for intensive care beds - that will mean they will die, ' he said".

All of the people who have died from COVID-19 in Australia have been older than 70 years of age and more than one in five of those aged under 80 who get the virus are likely to die.

"And we will not have enough machines, nurses and doctors to provide that care".

"I hope that's been very clear", he finished.

En effet, avoir mille et une tâches à accomplir à la fois, ça peut avoir des effets négatifs. En effet, les travailleurs effectuent les tâches beaucoup plus rapidement tout en conservant leur qualité de vie.

Morrison has also formed a COVID-19 Co-ordination Commission to advise on cushioning the virus's economic impact, bringing together efforts to mitigate the effects.

"We are not unconscious of the real impact these measures are having on the lives of daily Australians so we will continue to do everything we can, both as a Federal Government and at State Government and Territory Governments around the country, to do all we can to support our people through what is going to be an incredibly hard time". And the Prime Minister gave them plenty to work with. Representation from the not-for-profit sector is yet to be announced.

"You must not go to the chemist when you've been told you've got the disease".

Mr Morrison said he was "deeply sorry" to the hundreds of thousands of Australians who had already, or what shortly lose their jobs. "If you are isolating you go home and obey those rules", he said. And it is a delicate task for the National Cabinet to balance those two. Stressing its fundamental unity, he said, 'Sure, there may be the odd time where there might be a bit of difference at the edge.

There are differences in how each state and territory is managing schools. "Where we have already found some of the events that have been some of the major transmitting events, it has been exactly these types of events, particularly weddings and that is why, regretfully, we have to be able to put these arrangements in place".

Victoria: Schools closed for school holidays.

The prime minister also announced a long list of new restrictions on social gatherings, including limiting weddings to five people and funerals to 10, and closing businesses such as nail salons and beauty parlors.

ACT: Schools are pupil-free until the school holidays, but open to students who absolutely need to attend, such as those whose parents must attend work and can not care for their children at home, as well as vulnerable children and those with additional needs. This follows NSW legislation to increase police powers passed Tuesday.
