Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, left their home in London when the COVID-19 pandemic worsened, however, it was too little too late, because earlier this week, the Prince revealed he contracted the illness.

After becoming to know that the prince of Wales gave positive test of Covid-19, necessary measures are taken for their recovery, such as isolation and home care.

Clarence House confirmed on Wednesday last week that Charles had been displaying mild symptoms, which led to him being tested by the NHS in Aberdeenshire, where he is now residing at Balmoral.

After his self-isolation ends, the Prince of Wales will now be able to attend meetings and go to exercise according to medical and government guidelines.

The Duchess of Cornwall, whose test results came back negative, is self-isolating in a separate wing of the Birkhall residence on the Balmoral estate.

Charles and Camilla were tested by the NHS in Aberdeenshire last Monday, but SNP politician Joan McAlpine, a Member of the Scottish Parliament, questioned the procedures, citing a relative with an underlying health condition who was refused a test.

The news comes as six further people with the virus in Scotland have died, taking the total to 47.

Clarence House tweeted the contact numbers for people in the reach out for help.

Among those to have died is Amged El-Hawrani, a 55-year-old ear, nose and throat consultant at Queen's Hospital Burton.
