The author of the well-known Harry Potter series, JK Rowling has reportedly started a new online hub for fans across the globe amid the Coronavirus outbreak.
According to the site, the hub will include "special contributions from Bloomsbury and Scholastic, nifty magical craft videos (teach your friends how to draw a Niffler!), fun articles, quizzes, puzzles and plenty more for first-time readers, as well as those already familiar with the wizarding world".
Rowling (54) said: "The teachers, parents and carers working to keep children's lives as normal and happy as possible while we're all on lockdown deserve a bit of magic".

Losing senses of taste, smell are diagnostic COVID-19 symptoms, study suggests
A team at King's College London looked at responses from more than 400,000 people reporting suspected Covid-19 symptoms to an app. Viral shedding suggests people could still be infectious, to some degree, from one to eight days after they start to feel better.
"I hope these initiatives will give children and even adults a happy distraction during their enforced stay-at-home time". The site, offered free of charge, proclaims: "We're casting a Banishing Charm on boredom!" Harry Potter is here to save the day. (And for Americans who are used to hearing Harry's story as told by Jim Dale, the audiobooks will allow them to listen to a new voice as this version features the incredibly talented Stephen Fry!) Pottermore Publishing will also team up with OverDrive, a digital library supplier, to ensure that libraries can borrow Sorcerer's Stone in eBook or audiobook form in over 20 languages.
Audible have announced that the Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone audiobook (available to stream instantly in English, Spanish, French, Italian, German and Japanese) is now available for FREE - that's right, zero Galleons! - via Audible Stories.
In addition to the book, "Harry Potter At Home" will send out a "Wizarding Wednesdays" email newsletter each week with activities and quizzes. The website provides a road map to reading Harry Potter books for the uninitiated, complete with a glossary of wizarding terms from "muggle" (a person lacking magical ability) to "quidditch" (the popular high-flying sport at the Hogwarts school).
