"It's been a bad week", Windhorst said. "I think there was optimism about progress a week ago". But they're not having talks about how to restart the league.

On Friday night's 11pm SportsCenter, ESPN NBA insider Brian Windhorst talked about the current negotiations between the NBA and the NBAPA and how there's growing pessimism that this season can be salvaged. "Now they don't have to do that yet, and the way they're negotiating they're leaving themselves an option either way, but they're not having talks about how to restart the league, they're having financial talks about what would happen if the season shuts down, and I think there is a significant amount of pessimism right now".

Speaking late Friday on "SportsCenter", Windhorst said National Basketball Association owners are increasingly pessimistic that play will resume this season. "They believed if they just tested the players' temperatures all the time that it would work, and the Chinese are finding that asymptomatic carriers are causing a second wave in that country".

Aulas fait une grosse confidence sur sa succession — OL
Tony Parker fait aujourd'hui figure de favori, pour reprendre sa fonction. Jean-Michel Aulas commence à réfléchir à sa succession, du côté de Lyon.

The NBA reportedly had been looking at the idea of playing the playoffs in Las Vegas while keeping the players in a bubble without fans, but public health officials have poked holes in that idea.

According to Windhorst, the lack of available testing also plays a factor because the league needs to make sure players are healthy enough to enter a game.

The league has been suspended indefinitely since March 12, when Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert tested positive for the virus.
