The UK government has now given the green light for sport to return behind closed doors from this week, with the Premier League set to be scheduled to return later this month.

The Premier League is set to resume on June 17, with a provisional end date of July 25 agreed by clubs, which will require six sets of weekend fixtures along with three midweek rounds.

When asked if he ever anxious the campaign could be voided, Henderson told talkSPORT: "Not really".

"I heard a day ago a really good phrase about that we have the best home fans in the world, and now we need the best stay-at-home fans in the world". We have to play football games and we have to win them.

"And that was all our focus was on really in terms of just wanting to get back and waiting for the right time to go back. I hope the people are looking forward to it because we are".

But despite hinting at a solution which would see Liverpool crowned on home turf, Klopp says it will still be an "exceptional day" if Liverpool eventually pick up the trophy elsewhere in the country.

"We don't have to be match-fit now".

"I can promise that if it happens, there will be a parade as well".

Liverpool have a 25-point lead over nearest rivals Manchester City.

The Reds' first game back is set to be the Merseyside derby against Everton and Klopp is building his players' fitness towards that clash.

"We will not have the help from the crowd but no team will have that so where is the advantage?"

"We have tried to simulate the situation by training in the stadium and getting used to it".

And he feels if there is a target who is not excited by playing for Liverpool now then the club do not want them anyway. You never know after a summer break how you will be when the season starts again and it is a little bit similar to this time.
