  • Craig Gore Fired As Producer Of New ‘SVU’ Spinoff Over Controversial Comments Amid George Floyd Protests

Craig Gore, the writer of NBC's Law & Order spinoff was sacked after he reportedly threatened to "light up" violent protesters causing chaos in West Hollywood.

"I will not tolerate this conduct, especially during our hour of national grief", Wolf said in a statement. Included in the comments section alongside the photos were words of warning, with Gore saying that he would "light motherfuckers up who are trying to fuck with my property" (via Variety).

According to reports from The Wrap, the termination of Craig Gore happened over a social media post, in which he posed with a weapon at the entrance of his front door.

On Monday night Gore, who worked on the upcoming Christopher Meloni-led "Law & Order" spinoff series, wrote in a now-deleted Facebook post, "Sunset is being looted two blocks from me". I am terminating Craig Gore immediately, " Wolf said in a statement.

Mission: Impossible 7 Might Restart Filming in September
Now theatrical releases are scheduled to start up again in July but for that to happen we'll need to see theaters open. Actor Simon Pegg , who plays Benji Dunn, confirmed the news about the plans to restart the film.

Gore's posts are of course a byproduct of the ongoing protests sparked by the murder of George Floyd in Minnesota.

This seemed to be the case with a writer and producer whose resume includes Chicago P.D. and S.W.A.T.

Gore previously listed himself as a "co-executive producer on Law & Order: Organized Crime - the new Chris Meloni series in the works at NBC - on his Facebook profile".

Gore has received swift backlash for his post and eventually, Meloni even tweeted about the incident by debunking rumors that Gore was the Showrunner for the up-and-coming spin-off.

Ice-T of "Law & Order: SVU" tipped his hat to Wolf in a post Tuesday.
