BONNEVILLE Sports KHTK-A/SACRAMENTO has fired afternoon host and SACRAMENTO KINGS television play-by-play voice GRANT NAPEAR after a tweet exchange with former KINGS player DEMARCUS COUSINS in which NAPEAR, who has feuded with COUSINS in the past, wrote "ALL LIVES MATTER..." I've been doing more listening than talking the past few days.

Napear said he was unaware of the political ramifications of his tweet.

Napear told the Bee: "I'm not as educated on BLM as I thought I was. They've seen it. They know who he is".

To quote an article written on Tuesday by BSM's Brandon Contes, "The "all lives matter" reaction to BLM generally represents a misunderstanding of and contempt for the movement".

"Grant Napear has resigned from the Sacramento Kings", the team said in a statement.

"I'm in pain. I'm 60 years old and I still have a lot learn".

Napear, the Kings' play-by-play broadcaster for more than 30 years, previously drew negative attention when suggested that former Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling was not racist because black people worked for the team.

"Grant's recent Twitter comments do not reflect our organization's views and values".

In a radio appearance in 2018, Napear defended former Clippers owner Donald Sterling, who was caught on tape in 2014 making racist comments and was subsequently banned for life from the National Basketball Association.
