Hospitals run by the Delhi government and some private hospitals will be reserved only for residents of the national capital, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Sunday, amid a huge controversy over availability of beds.

We felt that the hospitals may have to handle additional burden, what with the borders opening. The committee added that if the government opens up hospitals for non-residents, all beds will be occupied within three days.
"Private hospitals play an important role in the development of the health infrastructure of Delhi. Therefore we have decided that some private hospitals in the city will be reserved only for citizens". However, all central hospitals in the city and private facilities that perform specialised surgeries will continue to cater to patients from all parts of the country.
In another big development, Delhi Government has made a decision to withdraw the "special corona fee" levied at 70 per cent of the maximum retail price on all categories of liquor, with effect from June 10, 2020.
