  • Iran Reportedly Wants Interpol to Arrest Trump Over Soleimani’s Killing

He said Trump and the others not mentioned will face "murder and terrorism charges", Aljazeera reports.

Gen. Qassem Soleimani and his comrades were assassinated in Baghdad International Airport on January 3, 2020 at the behest of the US President Donald Trump.

Authorities in Iran have approved a measure to ask Interpol to put US President Donald Trump on its global Red Notice of wanted persons over the assassination of General Qasem Soleimani, Iranian media including Mehr News and the Fars News Agency have reported, citing judicial officials.

Alqasimehr was also quoted as saying Iran had requested a "red notice" be put out for Trump and the others, the highest-level notice issued by Interpol, requesting that seeks the location and arrest of the individual named.

The prosecutor general explained that U.S. President Donald Trump is at the top of the list, and he'll be facing prosecution even after his term as president.

Interpol, based in Lyon, France, did not immediately respond to Iran's demand.

Local authorities end up making the arrests on behalf of the country that request it.

As Breitbart News reported, the USA military, at the direction of Trump, killed Iran's most significant military figure, Qasem Soleimani, in drone strikes in Baghdad in the first week of January in a huge blow to the Islamic Republic.

It is nearly certain Interpol would not grant Iran's request as its guideline for notices forbids it from "undertaking any intervention or activities of a political" nature.

Miffed with Soleimani's death, Iranian Revolutionary Guards vowed to attack Israel and other United States allies in revenge of U.S. action.
