Some Americans protesting what they see as heavy-handed coronavirus orders, including mask-wearing and economic shutdowns, have compared the moves to Nazi racial laws and taken to waving swastikas or portraying leaders as Nazis to express their displeasure. When they saw the couple wearing face masks that looked like Nazi flags, they tried to speak to a store manager about it.

She also noted that she meant to call the customer service hotline and 'work my way as far to the top of the food chain as I can'.

In a statement, Walmart said the Bentonville, Arkansas-based retailer "will not tolerate any form of discrimination or harassment in any aspect of our business".

The Marshall Police Department wasn't immediately available for comment, but the Star Tribune reports the couple were cited for trespassing and banned from the store for a year.
