Ozzy Osbourne and his wife Sharon opened up about the 1989 incident when the former Black Sabbath frontman tried to kill her.

The Black Sabbath singer has opened up about the terrifying moment he nearly choked his wife to death while under the influence, and he admitted to feeling at peace as he walked into the room.

Discussing the incident, Ozzy admitted it wasn't "exactly one of my greatest achievements".

Ozzy responded: "I can not say that with you". "Everything was just peaceful".

"All I remember is waking up in Amersham jail and I asked the cop, 'Why am I here?' And he says, 'You want me to read your charge?'"

The Talk cohost explained, "I had no idea who was sat across from me on the sofa but it wasn't my husband. He goes to a stage where he gets that look in his eyes, the shutters were down and I just couldn't get through to him", Sharon said.

"Ozzy was very frightened when he came out and when he was in his house, he definitely watched what he was doing". During that time, she could not feel anything but his calmness. Suddenly, he dived into her before starting to choke her. "He got me down on the ground on top of me". "Next thing I know the cops were there".
