MLB Announces 2020 Postseason Schedule, Including Neutral-Site World Series

Having now agreed with the MLB Players Association on the plans for the postseason - plans aimed at doing the best the league can to get through the postseason uninterrupted by a COVID-19 outbreak - MLB today announced what's up. The AL will play in Los Angeles and San Diego, while the NL will play in a bubble in Arlington and Houston after the Wild Card Series.

The best-of-three wild card series will be hosted by the higher seed in its respective matchup.

The World Series, from October 20-28, will have two off-days.

Petco Park, home of the San Diego Padres, will host the ALDS matchup between the victor of the 1 vs. 8 and 4 vs. 5 Wild Card Series. Those first-round series will take place at the home field of the top four seeds in each league, beginning September 29 or September 30.

The best-of-five National Division Series will be played in Houston and Arlington, Texas.

The ALCS opens on October 11 and the NLCS on October 12, with no off days scheduled. Those series will take place October 6-10.

The ALCS and NLCS will take place from October 11-17 and October 12-18, respectively. Arlington will host the NLCS from October 12-18 on Fox or FS1. Those games are slated for October 6-10.

Of note this year, there will be no off days during the Wild Card Series, Division Series or Championship Series. Those series run from October 5-10, again with no off days between games.
