Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe fired back at Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and other top Democrats Monday by clarifying that the bombshell reports on a laptop allegedly tied to Hunter Biden are "not part of some Russian disinformation campaign".
The story claimed that Joe Biden used his position as vice president to help Hunter Biden make money and the hard drive was given to the Post on October 11 by President Trump's personal lawyer Rudolph Giuliani.
"Hunter Biden's laptop is not part of some Russian disinformation campaign", Ratcliffe said during a Monday interview on Fox Business.
"We know that this whole smear on Joe Biden comes from the Kremlin", Schiff said on CNN last week, only to be discredited by the USA intelligence chief Monday. "Let me be clear: The intelligence community doesn't believe that because there is no intelligence that supports that".

Why Adele's SNL Gig Is a Big Deal
Her last album, "25", was released in 2015 to worldwide praise for its artistry and, of course, Adele's astounding voice. And Katy Perry added: "OMG THE PPL ARE GONNA FINALLY KNOW HOW FUNNY YOU ARE BLESS UP".
Ratcliffe said the Federal Bureau of Investigation is now in possession of the laptop. He said the FBI's investigation is "not centered around Russian disinformation". The Post's reporters don't appear to be as enthusiastic about the articles, drawn from documents given to the newspaper by Rudy Giuliani, President Trump's lawyers, after a tip from Stephen Bannon, his former campaign chairman.
Emails on the hard drive purportedly show Joe Biden was involved in deals made overseas by his son.
The New York Post story in question claims to have a supposed email from 2015 - retrieved from a water-damaged laptop left at a DE computer fix store allegedly by Hunter Biden himself, according to Giuliani - from Burisma Energy executive Vadym Pozharskyi, in which he thanks Hunter Biden for granting him "access" to his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden, alleging a dicey quid-pro-quo-type situation.
Hunter Biden landed a high-paying job with Burisma Holdings after the Obama administration orchestrated a coup in Ukraine. Joe Biden has been accused of leveraging a United States loan to Kyiv to pressure Ukrainian officials to fire a prosecutor investigating corruption at the company.
