  • Alexander Hillel Treisman has not been charged in relation to his research or writings on Biden but faces child pornography allegations

A North Carolina man had plans to assassinate Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden before he was ultimately arrested by the FBI, according to federal court documents.

Alexander Hillel Treisman was first arrested in May after employees at a bank in Kannapolis, North Carolina, reported his abandoned white van in the parking lot, which led to the discovery by the police of several weapons and contraband inside, according to a court filing by the US Court for the Middle District of North Carolina, ABC reported.

Police found two further guns when Treisman showed up in his vehicle to ask after his van, which had been towed away.

Officers also allegedly found drawings of swastikas and planes crashing into buildings, as well as books about survival, bomb-making and Islam in Treisman's van.

A further investigation by the police and FBI revealed that Treisman had a major interest in terrorist attacks and mass shootings, and had traveled across the country to purchase weapons from various states, according to federal prosecutors.

What's more, the Federal Bureau of Investigation reportedly found guns and explosives in Treisman's van.

A look into his electronic device showed many shocking revelations.

And, if that's not terrifying enough. the feds allege they found an October 2019 note created on Treisman's Samsung cell phone about a plan to carry out a mass shooting at a mall food court on Christmas Day or Black Friday. There were other graphic contents on his device which the authorities reeled out.

Treisman posted an iFunny meme on April 15, 2020 with the caption 'should I kill joe biden?' He also sought out crucial information on Biden from the internet, including the latter's home address, state gun laws, and night vision goggles.

That was within a month or so of Treisman buying an AR-15 rifle in New Hampshire, and writing a checklist note ending with the word "execute", a federal magistrate judge said in a court order justifying Treisman's detention without bail on child pornography charges. While a total of 1,248 videos and pictures were found in his cache, 637 of the videos revealed child pornography content relating to sadism and masochism.

The evidence also suggests Treisman may have taken steps to disguise his identity and flee the country. The police found the picture of a rental agreement.

According to the court document, Treisman's attorney indicated in court that his client has been diagnosed with Asperger syndrome, and the court noted that Treisman had no prior criminal history. He was subsequently remanded in jail. However, when questioned, the teenager disputed this diagnosis.
