During an interview on Heather McMahan's Absolutely Not podcast on Wednesday, the 30-year-old reminisced about the viral moment when she fell down at the 2013 Academy Awards, and admitted that she was quite sensitive about the subject for a few years after - particularly toward those who insisted she fell on goal as some sort of PR stunt.
The 30-year-old actress was just 22 when she won the Oscar for Best Actress for her work in Silver Linings Playbook and she memorably fell while walking up the stairs. That was embarrassing, "she said at the time. All of the adrenaline clears out and they call my name and I'm elated and I'm in shock...", she explains.
"Then I fell, and it just erased everything from my mind". My whole brain went blank. "He apologised", she recalled.
She then told McMahan that she once faced the 53-year-old journalist after he accused her of staging the incident.
