Pour appliquer les nouvelles mesures contre le Covid-19, le gouvernement a rétabli par décret l'état d'urgence sanitaire sur l'ensemble du territoire.

Au-delà d'un mois, sa prorogation doit être autorisée par la loi, d'où ce texte au menu du Palais Bourbon en première lecture.

Après le 16 février, le projet de loi prévoit encore de possibles restrictions jusqu'au 1er avril, via un régime de transition. La période comprend les élections régionales et départementales, un sujet sensible.

À l'issue de discussions acharnées dans l'hémicycle, les députés ont voté l'extension de l'état d'urgence sanitaire en France jusqu'à mi-février. Mais alors que le ministre de la Santé Olivier Véran a souhaité "l'union nationale ", le groupe LR s'est dit opposé à un "état d'exception qui banalise les atteintes aux libertés ". L'objectif est-il "le confinement généralisé"?
