  • Palace sources insist that Prince Andrew will not return to public life unless his name is made clear

Elsewhere, U.Ok. newspaper The Telegraph reported on Monday that Buckingham Palace sources insist Prince Andrew can't return to public duties till he has cleared his title.

A source close to Prince Andrew has now admitted that although he knows he can not "continue as usual", he still has some "clear ideas" about his future service.

The insider further disclosed that after what happened previous year, Prince Andrew has become more sensitive about what the public thinks.

'He's very sensitive to the public mood and acutely conscious that the public are the most important stakeholder.

As well as his close friendships with Epstein and Maxwell, Andrew has been repeatedly accused of having sex with accuser Virginia Roberts Giuffre at their behest, claims he has always vehemently denied.

The Duke has since denied the allegations being thrown at him.

The 418-page filing, released Thursday by a NY appeals court, was filed by Maxwell in 2016 and was part of a 2015 civil case brought by Virginia Roberts Giuffre. But when he stepped back from his "foreseeable future" public role last November, it was due to disagreements about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein that were never resolved. He was referring to the place where the Duke lives - this is the private residence of the royal family in Windsor.

Prince Andrew was reportedly in "crisis talks" with Queen back in September over the ongoing Epstein scandal.

Four days after his now infamous interview, which the British media dubbed a "car accident", Prince Andrew announced that he would step down from his role as a working member of the royal family.

A senior royal aide praised the Duke for the "level of maturity" he had shown in handling the fallout so far, accepting, for example, that he could not appear in his daughter's official wedding photos of Princess Beatrice or attending the memorial next month on Sunday's Memorial.

"In an ideal world, the family would love to see something change but the harsh reality is that there are a lot of hurdles to overcome first", the source went on.

The Times report follows Ghislaine Maxwell's recent unsealed filing in 2016, which contained information editing Prince Andrew's name.

Since then, the 60-year-old has faced a series of controversies leading sources to brand him a "busted flush" with a "toxic" presence.

Per The Guardian, she revealed that the prince asked her about Giuffre in another part of her sworn statement. According to the index of the deposit, Prince Andrew's name was edited by pages Maxwell answered questions about a puppet that looked like the royal figure she referred to as a "caricature".

BBC also revealed the same e-mail previous year through a Panorama documentary.
