L'image sur le site officiel du Vendée Globe qui confirme la fermeture du village départ. Le reconfinement, même assoupli, devrait toucher de plein fouet le Vendée Globe. Mais cette année, le départ sera bien particulier. "Le départ aura bien lieu le 8 novembre, comme prévu, mais à huis clos". Pas de public non plus le jour du départ, le long du chenal, pour saluer les navigateurs, reconnait Yves Auvinet, président du Conseil départemental et de la SAEM Vendée Globe.
