  • Elon Musk told how the first colonists will live on Mars

His ultimate goal is to eventually transform Mars into an Earth-like planet. However, we can establish a human base their in our lifetime. However, the CEO added that humans can start building a human base in Mars during our lifetime while future spacefaring humans will discover the ruins left in Martian soil and they will be impressed as how our generation was able to build a megacity outside the Earth.

Earlier this year, Mr Musk said Starship was the firm's "top priority", writing in a company-wide email that progress needed to speed up "dramatically and immediately" in order to meet the ambitious target of sending the first humans to Mars before 2030.

The slow process, according to Musk, would involve placing a giant mirror in orbit around Mars that would then reflect sunlight onto the red planet's surface, gradually warming it.

Heat accounts for between 35 and 45 percent of the energy released by the explosion, meaning a massive amount of heat is generated incredibly fast, which could potentially be harnessed to heat up the Martian atmosphere, according to Musk's fledgling theory.

His hope of transforming Mars were dealt a blow a year ago when a study published in Nature Astronomy claimed that "terraforming Mars is not possible using present-day technology".

The intrepid billionaire aims to get to Mars this decade, and wishes to help establish a colony of a million humans on the Red Planet by 2050.

He said: "This really might come down to: Are we going to create a self-sustaining city on Mars before or after World War 3".

Their six-month mission will coincide with the space station's 20th anniversary marking 20 years of continuous human presence. They have begun a two-orbit, three-hour flight to reach the International Space Station and join the Expedition 63 crew.

Not only does Musk have a plan for constructing the new world, but he also has an idea of how it should be governed.

"Ultimately (Mars) will be shaped to support life like Earth." used the expressions.

Speaking of the process, Musk tweeted, "life in glass domes at first".

Musk simply replied: 'Let the Martians decide their own future'.

The plans were laid out in Starlink's beta consumer service terms that were recently sent to customers.

Buried in the text is a section titled 'Governing Laws, ' which states SpaceX will not abide by worldwide laws beyond Earth and the moon, but instead adopt self-governing principles 'established on good faith'.
