Daily Show's Trevor Noah to host 2021 Grammy Awards

Just hours before unveiling the nominees, the Recording Academy announced that Trevor Noah will be hosting the show. It will be "The Daily Show" comedian's first time hosting the ceremony after Alicia Keys did the honors earlier in 2020.

Trevor wrote: (This is a metaphorical shoulder, I´m not trying to catch Corona).

The Daily Show host Trevor Noah has been announced as the host of the 63rd annual Grammy Awards, according to Variety. See you at the 63rd GRAMMYs!'

Noah's "Son of Patricia" scored a Grammy nomination past year for comedy album, but the award ended up going to Dave Chappelle's "Sticks & Stones".

"With a knack for keeping viewers engaged and entertained, Trevor is the flawless choice to lead us through what's sure to be an incredible evening full of music, unforgettable moments, unity and inspiration", Mason Jr. said.

The 63rd Annual Grammy Awards will be broadcast on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2021, on the CBS Television Network at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT.

"Trevor's comedy talents, engaging energy and unique perspective make him the flawless host for the Grammys", CBS Entertainment Group president and CEO George Cheeks said in a statement.

The ceremony, to announce nominees, is scheduled to start at approximately 12:00 p.m ET / 9:00 a.m. PT and can be streamed live from the Grammys official website.
