  • Christophe Dominici has died at the age of 48

Former French rugby global Christophe Dominici has been found dead at the age of 48 in a park near Paris, police and other sources said Tuesday.

"It is with vast sadness that Stade Francais learns of the death of Christophe Dominici", Stade Francais said in a statement. "We are thinking especially of his family and loved ones".

Brian O'Driscoll added: "Very sad to hear of the sudden passing of Christophe Dominici".

The causes of death are yet unknown.

Dominci won 67 caps for his country in an worldwide career that spanned almost a decade.
