Leduc's Kaitlyn Bristowe crowned Dancing with the Stars champion

Each duo performed two dances - first, a repeat of a previous dance, followed by a freestyle.

Bristowe's entrance to stardom happened after she appeared on the 19 season of The Bachelor and then lead the 11 season of The Bachelorette.

The finale event was filled with plenty of entertainment, including a performance by Nelly of his hits "Ride Wit Me", "Lil Bit" and "Hot in Herre".

The 35-year-old and her professional partner, Artem Chigvintsev, were awarded the show's mirror ball trophy after performing a dance from earlier in the season, the Argentine tango, and a freestyle paid homage to Moulin Rouge.

Fans voted from home all night long and the votes were combined with the judges scores to determine the victor.
