Paramount Pictures has shared the first look teaser for Clifford The Big Red Dog, directed by Walt Becker (Zookeeper, Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip). Some take issue with his coloring - commenting that it looks like they dyed a dog red - while others don't feel he is quite big enough (the synopsis states he's 10-feet tall). Based on the classic Scholastic book series by Norman Bridwell, Clifford will feature a blend of CGI animation and live-action performances from John Cleese, Darby Camp, and Jack Whitehall. What was once a groundbreaking effect in live-action animated films such as Bedknobs and Broomsticks (1971) and Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988) has become increasingly tacky thanks to the gratuitous use of CGI-look no further than initial reactions to Sonic the Hedgehog to see how this can go horribly wrong.

A look at the latest take on the beloved children's book character Clifford the Big Red Dog has arrived - and people have serious thoughts.
