The latest episode of The Mandalorian has brought back one of Star Wars' most popular characters. As with all good TV shows, these revelations raise more questions than answers: did Ahsoka know about Grogu at the Temple?

Since The Mandalorian is set between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens, Yoda has already passed away.

Warning: This video contains spoilers for The Mandalorian Chapter 13, "The Jedi".

It goes without saying. After communing telepathically with the (at least) fifty year-old baby, Ahsoka Tano - who makes her first live-action appearance in Chapter 13 - explains that the child was raised, and was in training at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Fans applauded Dawson's performance, as well as how her character physically looked. And, unlike Boba Fett and Bo-Katan's nebulous age, Ahsoka Tano should be around 45 in the time of The Mandalorian, which lines up pretty well with Dawson, who is 41.

In return for hunting Ahsoka, the town's leader offers the Mando a spear made out of beskar - the same material as his armour - and sends him on his way.

The Child, known to most as Baby Yoda, has been a mysterious figure for much of The Mandalorian's run, but Chapter 13 gave him a huge bit of backstory.

He also has a name, and Ahsoka tells Mando what it is. When the Empire came to power after the Clone Wars, Grogu was hidden for his protection.

However, Ahsoka refuses to train baby Yoda to become a Jedi, saying the child is "vulnerable to his fears".

From a character standpoint, it's also interesting that Ahsoka didn't correct Mando or anyone else when they called her a Jedi, given that she left the Order a long time ago, but maybe she just didn't want to be pedantic given how few surviving Jedi there are now.
