Apple souhaite déplacer une partie de la production d'iPad et de Mac de la Chine vers le Vietnam, comme l'a confirmé Reuters. L'intention serait de minimiser les impacts du différend commercial entre les États-Unis et le gouvernement chinois.

Une stratégie encouragée par l'administration sortante du président étasunien Donald Trump appelant les entreprises étasuniennes à déplacer leur production hors de Chine.

Dans le cadre du processus de diversification de sa fabrication électronique pour éviter les risques de concentration, Apple assemble déjà les AirPods et AirPods Pro au Vietnam.
