At least 43 people have been killed in what the Nigerian president has described as an "insane" attack in north-east Nigeria on Saturday.
"The PDP is particularly disturbed because of the failure of the Buhari Presidency to take decisive action despite series of concerns raised by Borno state governor, Baba Gana Zulum, of security compromises in the state".
The assailants tied up the agricultural workers and slit their throats in the village of Koshobe, the militia said.
"I condemn the killing of our hard-working farmers by terrorists in Borno state".
Hamidu Bala, another resident of Zabarmari, who is also a member of Rapid Response Squad, a Borno government-established task force against banditry, gave an insight into how the 43 farmers were killed.
"The entire country has been wounded by these senseless killings", he said in a statement.
At least 43 rice farmers and fisherman have been brutally slaughtered and beheaded by suspected Islamist militants in Nigeria.
"My thoughts are with their families in this time of grief".

Afghanistan: Car bomb kills dozens of people in Ghazni province
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, but local officials blamed Taliban militants for the attack. The director of Ghazni hospital has confirmed 34 people died and many others were injured.
"There were 60 farmers who were contracted to harvest paddy in the rice fields".
"It is no doubt the handiwork of Boko Haram who operate in the area and frequently attack farmers", militia leader Babakura Kolo told AFP.
On Sunday, six soldiers were reportedly killed in a jihadist ambush near the town of Baga in Borno State, says the BBC's Chris Ewokor, in Abuja.
The bodies were taken to Zabarmari village, two kilometres away, where they would be kept ahead of burial on Sunday, said resident Mala Bunu who took part in the search and rescue operation.
Indeed, the farm on which most of those killed worked was said to be in Zabarmari, with a lot of them reported to have travelled down to Borno State from Sokoto State.
The soldiers were on their way to the area to boost security at a food distribution depot for people displaced by the conflict.
Boko Haram and its IS-affiliated ISWAP are increasingly targeting farmers, herdsmen and fishermen in their attacks, accusing them of spying and providing information to the military and anti-terrorist groups.
