Ishant out of Test series, final decision on Rohit on Dec 11

India captain Virat Kohli on the eve of the first One-day global against Australia on Thursday said that there had been no clarity on the injuries of Rohit Sharma and Ishant Sharma and that had they been undergoing rehab with the squad in Australia, like Wriddhiman Saha, it would have increased their chances of playing in the Test series. "There has been no information, there has been lack of clarity, we have been playing waiting game on this issue for a while now which is not ideal at all, so it has been very confusing there has been lot of uncertainty and lack of clarity on the situations", he said.

While Kohli had raised a question as to why Rohit didn't do his rehabilitation in Australia along with Wriddhiman Saha, Shah in his press note clarified that the white ball vice-captain had come back to country to attend his ailing father after which he reported to the NCA.

It was decided that the call on Rohit going to Australia will be taken after his fitness assessment on December 11, something the BCCI said in a release.

Rohit's participation however, still hangs in the balance as he continues his rehabilitation at the NCA and will next be assessed on December 11, following which the board will have clarity on his chances of making it to Australia.
