'Fish Girls' star Jonathan Bennett is engaged to boyfriend James Vaughan

The actor of the film "Mean Girls " Jonathan Bennettis already ready for the altar to say the "yes I accept", as he engaged to his partner Jaymes Vaughan. "But for right now just this moment of joy", he wrote.

"So excited to to share this moment, from the custom rings he had made for us with @kayjewelers to the song he wrote and sang for me". Vaughan got down on one knee and wrote him a song for the proposal.

Bennett, who notably played Aaron Samuels in the 2004 comedy "Mean Girls", told People magazine about the proposal, which featured an original tune written by Vaughan and a producer friend while Bennett was away filming a project for Hallmark titled, "The Christmas House".

Jonathan remembers "My sister shouted for me to come outside "real quick" and my F.O.M.O. kicked in so I ran outside".

"I said yes! And ugly cried like a insane person".

"It's hard for me to really remember the rest because I think my body just made a decision to black out and ugly-cry", Bennett added. I knew from the minute I saw him with the sign I was getting proposed to. There was a moment when you feel like "Oh, this is forever, I understand it.' I screamed 'Yes" immediately.

Bennett, who is the host of the Food Network series Halloween Wars, and also has appeared in Cheaper by the Dozen 2, Van Wilder: Freshman Year, and Veronica Mars, said, "It was the best song I've ever heard". Vaughan wants a "classic, timeless" affair, while Bennett said he envisions something much more spectacular, "something between when Elphaba flies in the musical "Wicked" and the finale number of 'The Greatest Showman'".

Bennett and Vaughan have been dating since 2017.
