Jennifer Lawrence's Family Farm in Kentucky Burns Down in Fire

The Oscar winner's family runs Camp Hi-Ho in her hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, and over the weekend the camp's large barn was subject to a serious fire. The Oscar victor, who grew up in Louisville, has also been spotted at the camp over the years. "It is with great heart that we confirm the news that we lost our vessel in a awful fire last night", the statement said.

The post continues: "Words can not describe the pain we are in, but we are so incredibly grateful for the Simpsonville Fire Department and all the other fire fighters who responded to our emergency. You are true heroes".

Jennifer Lawrence's brother, Blaine, said they hope to rebuild and open again for summer 2021. We are also very grateful to the countless members of our community who have come to support us during this time. Your love and kindness mean the world to us.

"We know Camp Hi-Ho is a special place to so many, and we plan to rebuild and fix so that we can move forward with a safe and joyful camp experience this summer", the camp wrote on Facebook.

According to WDRB, the Simpsonville Fire Department responded to the fire around 9 p.m. Friday. They received assistance from the Shelby County and South Oldham fire departments. It reportedly took the teamwork of almost 30 firefighters to subdue the fire, per WLKY News.

While Blaine is thankful to still have those parts of the camp intact - on top of not losing a single animal or human life - he notes that he and the family are still devastated.
